SEAVITAL DEAD SEA AROMATIC BATH SALT

The Dead Sea salts make a wide-range of preventive and curative means.

Application: General and local salt baths

General Baths
Use the Dead Sea crystalline salt for the bath. Select the proper temperature and concentration depending on the indications. When the bath is prepared its temperature should be 5-10ºC higher than the required one, because the salt should reside in water for 10 to 15 minutes before it is fully dissolved.
For a preventive treatment course the following scheme is recommended:
Procedure 1: 100 g of salt per bath (85 to 90 liters) Procedure 2: 150 g of salt per bath Procedure 3: 200 g of salt per bath and so on until the required concentration is achieved which should be maintained to the end of the course.

Recommended temperature: 38-39º C (102ºF)
Duration: 15-20 minutes
Course: 15-20 procedures every other day Repeat the course after 3 months. Hot baths are not indicated in case of insomnia, high blood pressure, arrhythmia, cardiac defects, vegetative and vascular dystonia. With tachycardia the temperature of bath should be reduced to 34ºC (93ºF), and its time to 15 minutes. Finish by rinsing down the body with warm water without soap. Rest is recommended after bath. General bath procedures differ by salt concentrations and temperatures. Salt concentrations
* recreational bath 50-100 g of salt per bath
* restorative bath 150-150 g of salt per bath
* brine bath 0.5-0.8 kg of salt per bath

Re-creative Baths
* improve blood circulation and calm one’s nerves
* clean the skin and improve its elasticity

Curative Baths are indicated with:
* skin diseases (fungus, eczema, acne rash, psoriasis, allergy)
* rheumatism
* diseases of the loco-motors apparatus

The effect of salt bath on human body depends on temperature of the bath

Cool Baths
Temperatures 20 -30ºC (68-76ºF). At such temperatures metabolic processes are activated and muscular tonus increased. A cool bath tones up the nervous system. Such baths should be best taken in the morning or during the day, but not later than 2 to 3 hours before sleep. After bath have an hour rest.

Hot Baths
Temperatures of these baths can be as high as 40-45ºC (104-113ºF), which boosts all metabolic processes, activates harmonic regulators and raises arterial pressure. The bath intensifies sweating and damps one’s appetite, facilitating weight loss. You must discuss the need and duration of hot baths with a specialized doctor!

Local Baths
There can be special baths for hands or legs. To prepare a local bath dissolve 50-60 g of salt in 2-3 liters of water. Local baths are effective after injuries and can improve the skin and nail condition. Local application of salt solutions

Salt Compresses
Compresses soaked with the Dead Sea salt solutions are a wonderful means for healing bruises, sores, ulcers, burns and corns. To prepare the compress dissolve two tea-spoons of salt in a glass of water.

Salt Applications
Dissolve 2 to 3 table-spoons of salt per 1 liter of water. Apply for 20 to 30 minutes with starting temperature of the solution of about 50 C (122 F) Application technique. Soak a four-layer piece of gauze in the solution, squeeze out and apply to the sore spot. The temperature of the applied compress should be 39 C (102 F). Cover with cellophane and a blanket above. After the procedure wipe down with wet cloth. Indications: diseases of the loco-motors apparatus.

Salt Rub-down (general invigoration)
Dissolve 2 to 4 table-spoons of salt in 1 liter of water at 40-42 C (104-108 F). Soak a towel in the solution and rub-down with massaging movements for 5 to 10 minutes. After the procedure take a warm shower.
