SEAVITAL BODY AROMATIC DEAD SEA MUD
There are many ways in which the Dead Sea mud acts on the human body.
Ingredients: Dead Sea Mud, Eucalyptus Aromatic Oil.
Application: Thermal action of silt mud on human body.
* Owing to their high thermal conductivity silt muds assure deep warming of the body.
* Local blood circulation is improved in the application area, and vascular walls become less permeable. This facilitates the elimination of inflammatory processes and of hematomas; injuries heal much quicker.
* Heat activates metabolic processes and normalizes muscular tonus.
* Heat action on the skin’s thermal receptors improves functioning of the nervous and endocrine systems. Antibacterial effect of silt mud This effect is determined by the content of sulfide compounds and by ions creating electrically activated bactericide medium. Precautions and techniques Patients with cardio-vascular conditions should be very careful with mud applications because these could result in high blood pressure, increased cardiac output and sometimes general weakness. We recommend before starting the procedures to consult a specialized doctor. The room where the treatment is carried out should be sufficiently warm. Application techniques Mud can be put on the body as a compress or application. Mud preparation The temperatures of mud can be from low to very hot - as high as 36єC (97єF) in winter or 44-46єC (112-115єF) in summer. Mud to be used in the procedure should be warmed up to 50-55єC (12-131єF) in a water bath or microwave oven, after which some small amount of cold mud should be added (to obtain the required temperature). The warmed up silt mud should be applied by soft massaging movements on wet clean skin. After the procedure the mud should be washed down with warm water without soap. The procedure should be repeated 2-3 times a week. Compress preparation Compresses are most often employed with aching joints, bronchitis, pneumonia, tonsillitis and suchlike conditions. A layer of mud 1 cm thick is placed on a three or four layer piece of gauze somewhat larger than the affected area. The compress is covered with an oil cloth, warmth-keeping cotton wool above and fixed with a gauze bandage. The procedure continues for 1-2 hours, and in case of joints for 5-6 hours. In case of increases sensitiveness to mud the duration of the procedure should be halved. Use of the “Sea Vital” mud Cellulites Take a bath or a shower. Warm up the mud to 49-50єC (120-122єF) and apply for 20-25 minutes. Course of treatment: once a day during 14 days. Repeated after 2 weeks. Polyarthritis Apply mud at 40-42єC (104-108єF) for up to 20 minutes. Course of treatment: 12 to 14 days every other day. Mud applications should be accompanied by other treatments. Osteochondrosis Cervical and thoracic spine Alternating mud applications are recommended: Mud cake with temperature 26-28єC (79-83єF) is applied for 20 minutes, on the back of the neck, and with temperature 48-50єC (119-122єF) on hands. Course of treatment: 12-14 procedures, each day in the evening. Lumbar spine Transverse mud belt, 36єC (97єF), is applied for 10 minutes each day. Course of treatment: 14 days. Scoliosis, first and second degree Mud, 38-39є C (102єF), is applied for 15-20 minutes. Course of treatment: once in three days for two weeks. The applications should be accompanies by massage and remedial gymnastics. Pneumonia, bronchitis Mud, 39-40є C (103-104єF), is applied to the posterior surface of thorax for 15-20 minutes. Course of treatment: 10-12 times, every other day. Diseases of arteries in lower limbs Used as an auxiliary treatment. Therapeutic effect is achieved through improved blood circulation. First five procedures consist in application of “mud shorts”, 38-40є C (102-104єF), for 15 to 20 minutes. These should be followed by ten applications of 38-40є C (102-104єF) “mud pants” for 25-30 minutes. Repeat after three months. Chronic inflammation in otolaryngologic diseases The following two procedures are performed simultaneously:
* Mud applications in the area of cervical and thoracic vertebra. Temperature 37-38єC (99?101єF) for 10-15 minutes.
* Mud applications in the submandibular area. Temperature 38-39є C (102єF), for 5-10 minutes. Course of treatment: 10-12 procedures every other day.
